We are currently hiring a full time Private Wealth Credit Solutions Associate to work on supporting the business of high net worth clients.

About the Role:

 

The Credit Solutions and Negotiation group of The Wealth Council is recruiting for our growing team based out of our corporate office in Calgary, AB. A high level of attention to detail, and the desire to develop professionally and personally in a dynamic work environment is expected.

 

The successful candidate will assist in the recommendation of specific banking services and customized credit lending facilities required to facilitate tax and estate, investment and insurance strategies recommended within The Wealth Council Financial and its boutique team partners.

 

The core component of the role combines Private Banking and Credit experiences and expertise to assist in expediting responsive, high-end credit submissions that provide value added banking and financial facilities that support the total wealth management platforms offered within the firm.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide current lending appetite and credit pricing implications that could potentially impact client’s insurance and investment strategies;

  • Develop and maintain solid knowledge of each banking and credit opportunity to deliver support on lending solution recommendations;

  • Assist clients throughout the credit adjudication process to ensure a positive client experience;

  • Involve the appropriate investment, tax or insurance specialist during the process and subsequent annual credit reviews;

  • Conduct a thorough collection of the client’s financial information package prior to the commencement of the due diligence and submission to a Bank’s Credit adjudication team;

  • Exercise sound credit and risk judgment to support product recommendations;

  • Assist in the negotiation of preferred loan interest rates and loan origination and structuring fees as well as collateral requirements;

  • Establish harmonious relationships with Private Wealth; Commercial; Small Business, Agriculture, and retail bank client divisions within Schedule 1 Canadian Financial Institutions and private lending and family office lending firms;

  • Ability to mentor and share credit experiences within The Wealth Council team; and

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Private Banking;

  • A post secondary degree majoring in accounting, finance, business, financial planning or economics;

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel in a Windows environment;
